A Framework for Ruthless Product Decisions

A Framework for Ruthless Product Decisions

Every PM/Indie Hacker/Founder has been there. You’ve spent weeks on an idea, poured money into prototypes, told everyone about it, and now you’re stuck. Deep down, you know it’s not working, but you keep going anyway.

The Problem: We’re Bad at Evaluating Our Own Ideas

Cognitive bias is brutal. Studies show that once we’ve invested time, money, or emotional energy into something, we become psychologically incapable of evaluating it objectively. We cherry-pick positive signals. We dismiss red flags. We confuse motion with progress.

The result? We spend months on ideas that were doomed from the start , not because the ideas were terrible, but because they couldn’t see clearly.

The Solution: The 9 Levers Framework

I built a simple AI-powered tool that forces you to confront reality. It evaluates your product idea across 9 critical levers, each weighted by actual impact:

High-Impact Levers (3x Weight)

  1. Market Window — Is timing on your side, or is the window closing?
  2. Strategic Moat — Do you have a defensible advantage, or just execution speed?
  3. Distribution Edge — Can you actually reach customers, or are you starting cold?

Medium-Impact Levers (2x Weight)

  1. Conviction Level — Are you all-in, or are you hedging?
  2. Option Value — If this fails, does it unlock anything else?
  3. External Validation — Have real people said “shut up and take my money”?
  4. Regulatory Ease — Are there legal landmines ahead?
  5. Pipeline Alternatives — Is this actually your best idea right now?

Penalty Lever (-1x Weight)

  1. Sunk Cost Bias — Are you continuing because of past investment, not future potential?

How It Works

You fill out a brief form with honest answers about your product. Upload your pitch deck if you want deeper analysis. The system runs your inputs through the framework and generates a scored evaluation with:

The report arrives in your inbox within minutes.

Why I Built This

I’ve watched myself and many others burn out chasing ideas they should have killed months earlier. This tool doesn’t replace your judgment. It augments it by forcing structured thinking and surfacing the uncomfortable questions you’ve been avoiding.
